Black River Meadows has a large lawn that is great for family activities, or just lounging around. We provide various lawn games including bocce, croquet, and horse shoes. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the shoreline, or hike into the adjoining Hawks Mountain Wildlife Management Area. For the ambitious biker, use us as the starting point for a scenic 26 mile bike loop. Cook outdoors on our charcoal grill and smoker, and prepare meals using ingredients purchased from local farmers markets. In the evening, build a fire in our natural fire pit to roast marshmallows, tell a scary story, or just enjoy the rustic atmosphere. Also, don’t miss the brilliant starscape unencumbered by light pollution.
